Sudan army launches attacks out of Kadroo enclave
SAF attempt to regain the initiative in the capital's northern suburbs
The Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) went on the offensive in Khartoum Bahri on Saturday, launching attacks out of an enclave known as Kadroo Camp.
The attacks signal that SAF troops in the area were reinforced or resupplied, and that morale is improving in connection with another ongoing offensive in nearby Omdurman, the twin city of the capital Khartoum.
Geolocated videos demonstrate that SAF troops on Saturday advanced about 2 km west from their positions as far as the Al-Kadroo junction bus stop—an area that SAF last controlled in July. Clashes at that location resulted in at least six deaths on the RSF side and the destruction of an Ajban armored vehicle manufactured by the UAE.
