Map Update: Confirmation of SAF control in Yathrib

Newly geolocated video of a Sudan army patrol on September 10 has caused us to update our map of areas of control in Khartoum.

The place of filming is indicated by the green pin. The green arrow indicates the general direction of travel of the SAF troops in the video.

Previously, we had considered that area as RSF-controlled, now we consider it contested. There have been other recent videos of a much larger RSF force less than 1 km from this location.

Street-to-street fighting in this part of Khartoum allows us to map the situation more closely than most other parts of the city. However, the map is still only approximate.
