I made a few maps of the military situation in Greater Khartoum. The maps are intended to show general disposition of forces, not territorial control.
Green is for the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and red is for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Locations of units are very general, not precise. Arrows indicate a general direction of attack or maneuver, not a precise route or amount of territory captured.
The maps are based on public sources, not any secret ones.
The first map above indicates recent movements of the RSF to encircle the Armored Corps in the Jabra area of West Khartoum. SAF shelling and bombings targeting RSF units involved in these maneuvers already is causing civilian casualties.
The green arrow shows the general direction of attacks in Omdurman by SAF’s 9th Airborne Division, which is based at Wadi Saidna Airbase but also controls the former RSF base at Jebel Surkab. The goal of these attacks could be to capture Shambat Bridge, or to alleviate the siege of the Engineers Corps.
