RSF deploy large mobile howitzer in Khartoum
Capture of 122 mm self-propelled artillery gives the RSF new firepower
The Rapid Support Forces have captured a Khalifa-1 122 mm self-propelled howitzer and are operating it in Khartoum, according to videos recorded yesterday.
The Khalifa is one of the largest caliber artillery systems owned by the Sudanese military. Manufactured by Sudan’s domestic Military Industry Corporation, the Khalifa consists of a D-30 towed howitzer mounted on a Russian-made Kamaz military truck with a protected four-dour cab for the crew.
