The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue to roam freely throughout rural areas south of Khartoum. Affiliated RSF social media accounts yesterday posted a video of their troops under the commander Ahmed Goja in the village of Bouija.
Bouija hosts a training camp of the customs authority and police forces. Although the camp itself probably has no real military significance, the presence of RSF this far south does demonstrate that SAF have not managed to contain the militia within Khartoum, nor has SAF’s air power been successfully directed against RSF troops operating in the open in these areas. The village of Bouija is about 25 km from the nearest Khartoum outskirts and 45 km from central Khartoum.
