Touring RSF-controlled Omdurman, Khartoum
Today’s update focuses on two videos from Omdurman and Khartoum, one produced by the Rapid Support Forces and the other by the Sudan Armed Forces.
This first video is a tour of RSF-controlled territory from Omdurman to Bahri to East Nile to eastern Khartoum, around the southern side of the airport, then north again toward the General Intelligence Service headquarters.
The video gives an idea of the desolation of these sister cities, as well as the ease with which RSF move through huge parts of the capital. Checkpoints and RSF vehicles are seen at several points in the video, and some civilian traffic.
Even this is not a comprehensive tour of RSF-controlled areas in Greater Khartoum. For instance, they could have continued the tour northwest toward the presidential palace, along Nile Street, and then south toward Souq Al Arabi and through various residential neighborhoods all the way into the Southern Belt.
