A member of the Sudan Armed Forces is seen in this video turning over a prisoner of war to see if he is alive, then shooting him.
It is illegal under the Sudan Armed Forces Act of 2007 to kill a prisoner of war, and it is also a serious war crime under international law.
Although this video is not geolocated, it was published August 21 alongside videos from the Al Shajara area, where heavy fighting took place in the past few days. We have also seen a possibly related video of several dead RSF fighters in an alleyway in a neighborhood where they were apparently ambushed.
