Villages burned in emerging South Kordofan conflict
Fighting around Dilling allegedly involves RSF, SPLM-N
Members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) yesterday attacked the village of al-Tukma, 12 km southeast of Dilling in South Kordofan State, where they torched buildings and clashed with troops of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North.
The troops in the video above are identifiable as RSF because two of them are wearing the tan-colored khaki of the militia and one of them uses an RSF slogan, saying, “We are readiness.” They also say that they are inside al-Tukma.

Tuesday’s attack on al-Tukma comes in the context of an existing ethnic conflict in which members of three armed groups in the state have also gotten involved, including the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF), RSF, and SPLM-North.
